happy birthday to brittany

friday night, aric & i had dinner with brittany & james at a yummy sushi restaurant for brittany's birthday. after that, we met up with a group of people and went bowling. it was a blast and the place was so cool. think red pin in downtown okc but bigger!

quick weekend back to norman...

this past weekend, i had a lovely visit back to norman! such a fun trip - but too quick and always wishing i could spend more time with the family! PLEASE COME VISIT IN DENVER!!!!

the closer one is mine! honey tomato chipotle sauce with bacon, cilantro and pineapple. sounds weird - but it's oh so delicious. the other one we made was a pesto and cheese! {homemade pesto of course}

LUNCH AT FORWARD FOODS

a visit to norman is NOT complete without a run through forward foods in downtown norman! and, finally - i got to eat lunch there! here's me with my yummy root beer. can you tell how hard the wind was blowing that day? ridiculous!

the rest of friday afternoon consisted of shopping, antiquing and getting pedicures! delightful!

J'S CONCERT

friday night, my brother's band was playing at the sooner theatre for the norman music festival!

after the concert, we headed to blu - sitting on the patio with the wind sweeping down the plain! brrrrr!

saturday morning we helped tom pack up and head to texas for a dirt bike trip!

keys? check. boots? check. momma t's list went on and on and the one thing she didn't ask was about his toothbrush and he ended up forgetting it! come on mom - you must add that to the list next time!

MAY FAIR

saturday afternoon, me, dad, val & chris headed to the may fair to walk around and listen to music. shevaun williams (my old boss) was the featured artist, so it was great to see her and catch up! oh and i had my first fried snickers - it was definitely interesting. i probably should have stuck with the classic funnel cake!

SATURDAY NIGHT

to tired to do anything saturday night, one of my best friends, ashley, came out to visit mom & i. i've loved seeing her so much recently! {she was just in denver the weekend before for the nuggets/thunder playoff games}

SUNDAY MORNING

sunday morning, mom & i met up with uncle jake, aunt maryanne & aunt jeannie at the new jimmy's egg for breakfast and to celebrate jake's birthday. when he walked in, we started singing happy birthday and the whole restaurant chimed in! it was hilarious!

last stop before mom drops me off at the airport: 1st game of round 2 playoffs - THUNDER vs MEMPHIS. even though we lost, mom & i had a blast.
