i forgot to post this picture from our seats!

THUNDER GAME!

saturday night, we got to go to game 3 of the playoffs: thunder vs nuggets, thanks to ashley who got us tickets! it was a blast and the THUNDER won, so it made it even better!

waiting for the bus to take us downtown! you can't really tell, but i do have on a THUNDER shirt, a THUNDER bracelet AND a THUNDER pin on my fleece!

this past saturday, aric & i had our friends anthony & kaylin over to celebrate their new engagement! one of my besties, ashley armstrong, also flew in for the weekend to go to the thunder games here in denver! we had an absolute blast this weekend!

i didn't have much time to create a full on themed brunch, so i decided to just put down some kraft paper for the table cloth so everyone could doodle during breakfast! aric spray painted one of our mason jars gray and we stuck some markers in it. voila - easy & cheap party accessory!

WAFFLE BAR TIME!

we had tons of toppings for this!
for sweet we had jam, butter, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, almonds, homemade whipped cream, almonds, powdered sugar & cinnamon.
for savory we had cream cheese, crumbled bacon & green onions!

i tried a homemade waffle recipe for the first time - it was delicious!

bike riding

a couple of weekends ago, aric and i rented bikes and rode around capitol hill looking for new places to live. these cruisers are so cool! it's only $5 a day to rent these bikes and they are all over denver!

UPDATE: our lovely aunt b & uncle jeffy got us vintage cruiser bikes for easter! we got them last night and we are already obsessed! i'll share pics with you next week when i get back from oklahoma!

friday night fun

friday night, me, aric and our friend anthony had a fun little outing. we went to happy hour at coral room {my fav} then wondered over to the other part of the highlands for some ice cream at little man ice cream!

it's so cute! i love the patio!

i ended up getting a mix between salted butter pecan + butterscotch. it was sooooo good! i could have eaten the whole tub haha.

yup - they had a slide so of course i had to go down it. it was a lot faster than i thought though, and almost ran into the kids at the bottom! oops!
