mom's visit to denver - last day

i took monday off from work and mom and i had a very relaxing day! we ran some more errands then came back to the house to finish sewing the pillows!

finished! i love them!

last night in town, we decided to cook again. we made chicken posole - a recipes from food and wine. it was really good and light!

the salsa, cilantro, green onions and radishes that you put on top of the soup.

yum!

we also made homemade bruschetta

mom's visit to denver - sunday

sunday was a very productive day! we headed out to joann fabric to get some stuff for sewing; home depot for plants, herbs & potting soil; target for various items and the container store for a cart for my laundry room and silverware separators!

look how perfectly that cart fits! so glad mom found that so we didn't have to drill in our own shelves!

in the meantime, it was 77 degrees here. sorry for all in norman where i'm sure it was well over 100!

mom's visit to denver - saturday!

saturday was such a fun day with lots of activities! {beware...there are tons of photos...}

in the morning, fin and i went on a run. i had to take a pic of this house - i loved the patio. really unique!

scribbles! for fun, i got a part time job at scribbles, an adorable stationery store in uptown denver! i work occasionally on the weekends! it's a blast. i worked saturday morning, so mom, b & aric stopped by to see the store!

since we were in the highlands, we had to make a stop at Perfect Petal - a cute boutique and flower shop! {this is where aric gets all my lovely flowers} we made aric take a quick pic of us in the refrigerated section of the flowers!
