mom's visit to denver - thursday!

our first full day together! it was my work at home day so here is aric and i working away at our desks! haha

that evening we decided to make dinner! one of my favorite things is cooking with mom when she visits so i was ready! in this pic, i had just made a yummy tomato basil & white bean summer salad!

earlier that day, we went shopping and found THE BEST fabric store in denver! it was amazing. mom & i's eyeballs were so huge staring at all the luscious fabric! we got 4 different patterns to sew new pillows for the couch! {remember my inspiration board? we had that pulled out as we looked at all the fabrics! i think we followed it pretty well.}

the gray might be my favorite - it's dwell's line of fabric!

back to cooking...

for our main dish, we made the adirondacker burger. oh my word - it was so good! i had had this rachael ray recipe for awhile but had never made it! i'm so glad we did. you can find it here.

the sauce that went on the burger was delicious! it would also be good as a dip!
