a lovely weekend in telluride!

this past weekend, we went to my favorite part of colorado: the san juan mountains in the south western part of the state! growing up, we went to ouray & telluride every summer. however, i had never been there in the winter, nor had ever skied telluride! we talked with the lee's and telluride had been on their colorado list since they moved here 5 years ago! so we escaped the crazy blizzard in denver just in time and arrived at our amazing condo friday afternoon. with wonderful views all around us, we were in walking distance of the ski lifts - sheer heaven!

view from our window!

since we had our own kitchen, we decided we would cook 2 out of the 3 nights. first night was aric & i cooking chicken enchiladas, an avocado veggie salad & rice! delicious!

love them! brittany & james - their first trip together away from their precious baby girl becca.

my love!

so fun to have one of your best friends from 6th grade live so close to go on weekend trips!

after dinner, we headed downtown for a night cap drink at the sheridan hotel!

greyhound - yum

and saturday morning, we woke up to that...

after a long long day of skiing, we went to the most amazing thai restaurant i've ever been to: siam. it was sooo very good!

more views from our condo...

aric and i finally broke down and bought helmets! i love mine with a hint of pink!

very top of the mountain - such amazing views! right before you get off the lift, it looks like you are going to fall off the side of the mountain. alas, you do not. it spits you out here...

eek! don't go past that rope!

the boys! it was so cold sunday - can you tell?

feels like we're on the top of the world!

i love telluride because everyone has big dogs and everyone brings their dogs everywhere!

mountain village

brittany and i had a girls afternoon sunday after skiing! pedicures and irish coffees! blissful for sure!

a gorgeous hotel in mountain village

sunday night was super bowl, so brit & james made some really really really good bleu cheese & sherry burgers with pub fries with horseradish dipping sauce (from rachael ray). amazingness! we cheered the giants on to victory!

farwell t-ride, until next time! you will be missed for sure...
i think we are all going to have to go back just for the pot of chicken coconut milk soup at the thai restaurant!
