aric & cari's birthday party!

this past saturday, aric & i celebrated our birthdays (we are 5 days apart) with a cookout at our place - it was a blast!

lighting the sparkler candles that would NOT blow out haha. i made homemade carrot cake (just like here and here). i think this year was the best! i also made pina colada bars! delicious.

this was such a successful birthday party! thanks for such a great 27th birthday, especially those who couldn't be here. i had tons of calls, texts & fb messages and lovely presents to open on my birthday! i am so blessed!
